InstantVap 18V Compact Vaporizer

This InstaVap is a lower-priced alternative to the Original Instavap but with the same heating capacity. It is designed to quickly vaporize oxalic acid inside the hive to kill varroa mites on the bees.

When To Use Oxalic Acid Vaporization:

Vaporizing varroa mites with is an excellent way to kill mites. But like all , it works better at certain times of the year and in particular situations. Vaporization is nearly 100% effective against mites inside the hive, but not in underneath the wax capping.

Because OA cannot penetrate the wax capping, it is most effective when a hive is without capped brood. This is during the winter for most areas of the US, after collecting a swarm, after a colony has sent a swarm out and during requeening events when the hive has a brood break. These are all excellent times to use oxalic acid vapor.
